The Swiss company will hand over 60 demining machines to Ukraine
In May, GCS management announced its intention to supply about 20 demining machines to Ukraine this year. The machines will be used to clear landmines and unexploded ordnance from agricultural lands and critical infrastructure facilities in the de-occupied Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
Sixty demining platforms are planned to be delivered to Ukraine by mid-2024, which will help create a safe environment, facilitate the life of the civilian population, and save lives.
The order for demining machines is financed by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the German State Development Bank (KFW DEG).
As reported, a service center for unmanned demining machines of the Swiss company Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) opened in Ukraine in November.
