Since its establishment in 2023, the Association has been working to strengthen the state’s capacity in humanitarian demining. We developed and advocated for amendments to the Tax and Customs Codes of Ukraine, which exempt the import of components for the production of mechanized demining machines from customs duties and value-added tax.

These changes, enacted as Laws 3853-IX and 3854-IX, became a major milestone in enhancing technical capabilities in humanitarian demining. As a result, six production facilities for mechanized demining machines have been launched in Ukraine, including both localized manufacturing of global brands and cutting-edge Ukrainian developments.

We contributed to the development of a professional standard within the occupational group “Unmanned Aerial Systems Operators,” including the positions of “Ground Control Operator of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles” and “Remote UAV Operator.”

Since April 2025, the Association has been performing the functions of the Secretariat of the Inter-Faction Parliamentary Association "Anti-Mine Activities" in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Following its mission, the Association helps consolidate the efforts of Members of Parliament in developing a systemic approach to humanitarian demining and modernizing the regulatory framework in line with current realities and future challenges.

We provide consultations to Association members on procedures and legal requirements in Ukraine for certification and obtaining the status of a humanitarian demining operator.

We research international best practices, explore emerging technologies, and engage with foreign partners to bring these innovations to Ukraine.
