Representatives of the Association took part in the Conference "Recovery of the Country: Economic Results 2024, Priorities 2025"

Representatives of the Ukrainian Association for Humanitarian Demining and Reconstruction participated in the conference "Recovery of the Country: Economic Results 2024, Priorities 2025," held on December 13. Organized by the Ukrainian Business Council in partnership with Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, the event featured key figures, including Dmytro Natalukha, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Policy, and Olena Shulyak, leader of the "Sluga Narodu" Party.
Andriy Savarets, Coordinator of the Association, presented an innovative approach to demining Ukraine using domestic technologies. With approximately 142,000 square kilometers of territory contaminated by explosive objects and at least 6 million hectares of agricultural land requiring clearance, traditional manual methods would cost $37 billion and take 10 years.
The Association’s solution leverages unmanned aerial vehicles, advanced sensors, and an IT platform to create detailed contamination maps, minimizing risks to sappers. This approach, using predominantly Ukrainian equipment, offers a cost-effective alternative to foreign solutions.
