Today Marks the First Anniversary of the Ukrainian Association for Humanitarian Demining and Recovery!

In the past year, our Association has successfully brought together mine action operators, manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles, mechanized demining machines, specialized equipment, software developers, insurance companies, and charitable foundations.
We’ve actively contributed to the development of the Mine Action Strategy project, the professional standard "Operator of Unmanned Aircraft Systems," and numerous legislative initiatives. Notably, our Association played a crucial role in drafting and advocating for laws No. 3853-IX and No. 3854-IX. These laws amended Ukraine’s Tax and Customs Codes, granting exemptions from customs duties and value-added tax for importing components used in the production of mechanized demining machines.
We continue our mission to establish the Association as a robust platform, facilitating collaboration between donors, international organizations, mine action operators, government bodies, businesses, local communities, and the public.
Over the past year, we’ve built many valuable contacts and forged new relationships. It’s gratifying to see Ukrainians leading the way in technological advancements globally, especially in humanitarian demining.
The ingenuity of our people not only enables us to effectively hold back adversaries but also to implement new technologies, serving as a model for even more developed nations.
Embracing innovation in humanitarian demining remains one of our primary goals, which will expedite the clearance of mine-contaminated areas in Ukraine and pave the way for recovery and sustainable development.
Our core values — legality, competence, integrity, transparency, and openness — remain steadfast.
It is especially meaningful that our anniversary coincides with Ukrainian Flag Day!
