Today, Lviv Customs processed customs clearance of the first machine set for domestic production of mechanized demining machines.
These components will be used to produce a robotic demining system at a Ukrainian enterprise, which will soon be deployed to areas contaminated by mines and other remnants of war.
Currently, Ukraine has 80 mechanized demining machines, but the need exceeds 250. The tax exemption provided by these laws for importing components will help localize production, create jobs, and expedite the clearing of Ukrainian lands.
The Ukrainian Association for Humanitarian Demining and Recovery, one of the drafters and advocates of these laws, extends its gratitude for the statesmanlike stance of the People’s Deputies, the Ministry of Finance, the State Customs Service, and our colleagues from the Federation of Employers of Ukraine.
