Draft laws No. 11148 and No. 11149 have been introduced in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. They seek to waive import duties and VAT for components used in the manufacturing and repair of unmanned mechanized demining systems.

The Ukrainian Association of Humanitarian Demining Operators contributed to the drafting of these laws.

Currently, the production of unmanned mechanized demining systems relies on foreign components.

Mechanized demining plays a crucial role in clearing potentially mined territories, with approximately 174 thousand square km of Ukrainian land still posing a threat.
